Debashis retains chess title

GUWAHATI, July 7 � Debashis Dutta retained the title in the open category of the Rs 32,000 prize-money Kamrup (Metro) District Chess Championship which concluded here yesterday.

Debashis scored 8.5 points for the title while Khanindra Barman came second with 8 points. Indranil Talukdar took the third position in the open group.
