UDALGURI, Oct 10 � People from all walks of life on Thursday demanded capital punishment to one Gautam Biswas, accused in the rape and murder case of a school girl on Wednesday here at Udalguri town.
The students of Udalguri Girls� HS school, Ramswaroop Agarwalla Memorial English School, Diamond English School, Rabi Kachari Memorial high school, UN Academy, Udalguri College condoling the tragic killing of the student took out a protest rally and procession on Thursday with the dead body of the student of Udalguri Girls� HS School who was allegedly raped and killed the day before by one Gautam Biswas, a pharmacist at Goroimari village along Udalguri-Rowta road.
Meanwhile, the Udalguri district ABSU submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district demanding a high level enquiry into the incident and demanded to compensate the family of the deceased and capital punishment to the accused.
