SILCHAR, March 5 - Sensation prevailed in Silchar on Monday after the body of a 42-year-old trader identified as Paritosh Paul was found in a drain at Ashram Road locality of the town.
According to police, some miscreants hit him with a weapon on the back of his head. After recovery, the body was sent to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
Police informed that a thorough probe is being initiated into the incident. Interestingly, on the sidelines of the recovery of the body, police interrogated Sithi Paul, wife of the Paritosh who was seeing his business in Mizoram.
