JORABAT, Sept 3 - The body of a CRPF ASI officer, identified as Mathura Chanda Patowary (49), was recovered from a forested area within the CRPF camp, 9th Mile. The body was found hanging from a tree.

Patowary had been missing since September 1, and a missing case was filed at the Jorabat police outpost on September 2 by his wife.

When asked about the case, an officer of CRPF camp said that it was suspected that Patowary had committed suicide. The neighbouring jawans of Patowarys quarter said that Patowary was a very friendly and jolly person but he might have had some family problems, which could be a reason behind his suspected suicide. Patowary leaves behind his wife and two children.
