IMPHAL, June 14 The Communist Party of India (CPI) accused the UPA government at the Centre of making the people of the country live in hardship. The party said that it would protest against this in front of the Parliament at the end of this month for five days.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday in Imphal on the sidelines of a reception organised in honour of Sudhakar Reddy, the newly elected national general secretary of the CPI by the Manipur unit of the party, AB Bardhan said the UPA government has been the cause of hardship being experienced by the common people in the country. On the Loitam Richard murder case, Bardhan said the new CPI general secretary and other party leaders will go to Bangalore on June 15 to press the Karnataka government for the handing over of the murder case to the CBI. We know the student was assaulted brutally and murdered, fumed AB Bardhan.
