GUWAHATI, May 8: Three more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam on Friday, taking the total to 56.
The latest patients were those travelling in the bus which arrived in Silchar on Thursday from Ajmer.
Of the total 45 people travelling in the bus, so far eight, including a child, have tested positive for the virus.
All the passengers have been quarantined and tests are being conducted.
The total number of active cases in Assam now stands at 21.
