Congress MPs from Telangana suspended from Lok Sabha

NEW DELHI, April 24 (IANS): Eight Congress MPs from Telangana region in Andhra Pradesh were suspended from the Lok Sabha for four days for causing disruptions in the house over the issue of separate statehood to the region.

Francisco Sardinha, who was presiding over the house, announced the suspension of the Congress MPs following a recommendation by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee who is also leader of the Lok Sabha.
