CM urges employees to work with team spirit

GUWAHATI, Aug 25 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today made a fervent call to the employees of the State to work more with dedication and integrity in the greater interest of Assam. Attending the 71st general session of the Assam Secretariat Service Association here, Sonowal further appealed for joint effort from public representatives and employees to work as a team to make Assam one of the best States of the country.

�Let us work more for achieving the goals of the government. We want to make Assam a developed and vibrant State and the journey must start from the secretariat. Let us set an example for other States,� Sonowal exhorted.

Describing the employees as a major driving force of the government, Sonowal urged the employees and the public representatives to be motivated by the �Team Assam� spirit to free the State from corruption, illegal immigration, insurgency and pollution.

Stating that the government is committed to create a better working environment for the employees, the Chief Minister said that steps have been taken for creation of additional 326 posts in the Assam Secretariat at different levels.

Sonowal also felicitated a few employees of the Assam Secretariat for their outstanding accomplishments in different fields. A section of the secretariat employees also contributed towards the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund in the meeting.
