GUWAHATI, June 4 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi expressed his shock and sorrow over the tragic death of senior BJP leader and Union Minister for Rural Development Gopinath Munde in a road accident in New Delhi in the wee hours on Tuesday, an official release stated.
In a condolence message, Chief Minister Gogoi said Gopinath Munde was a leader of the masses who rose to prominence by dint of hard labour and perseverance. �He passed away at a time when he had so much to contribute to the nation�s progress and prosperity as Rural Development Minister. The void created by his death will be difficult to fill,� he said.
The Chief Minister offered his sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
