JORABAT, Sept 28 - A cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat campaign was organised jointly by police and Khetri High School today. Students, teachers, non-teaching staff, parents and members of the school management committee along with police personnel cleared plastic wrappers and bottles. They also raised slogans, appealing to people to reduce plastic waste.
The cleanliness drive conducted today was to support the plastic-free campaign of the government and it helped us and our students contribute to the social cause, said a teacher of the school. Overwhelmed by the enthusiasm shown by the students and teachers, ACP (Sonapur) Abotani Doley urged the people to Think globally and act locally to consider the health of the entire planet and take action in their own communities and cities. He also urged the local communities to become agents of change to make the environment greener.
