GUWAHATI, July 16 � Arabinda Kalita has been appointed as the new SSP (City), while incumbent SSP (City) Apurva Jeevan Baruah has been transferred as Dibrugarh SP.
Kalita is presently serving as the SP of Dibrugarh.
The transfer comes a week after the incident of molestation of a woman in GS Road on July 9. The incident has drawn criticism from all corners, some directly holding the police administration accountable for it.
