UDALGURI : Aug 30 � City Police of Guwahati today confirmed its berth in the semi- final of the Upen Brahma Gold Cup Football Tournament. In the quarterfinal played at the Udalguri stadium here today, the cops defeated Salbagan Club of Gossaingaon 1-0.
Nirab Deuri of City Police scored the solitary goal through a penalty kick in the 5th minute of the match.
Tomorrow, Assam Rifles will lock horns with the Gauhati Town Club in the first semi-final of the tournament.
