CISF jawan kills self at LGBI Airport

JALUKBARI, March 7 - Sensation prevailed here after a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan allegedly committed suicide at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport today.

According to official sources, the jawan hailing from Haryana, identified as head constable Surendra Singh (54), shot himself on his chest inside the driver�s room near the cargo/vehicle gate with his service rifle after completing his duty around 2.30 pm. He was deployed at the watch tower number 2.

A FIR was subsequently lodged at the Azara Police Station by CISF officials. The Azara police have started an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the incident. Prima facie, it seems to be a case of suicide, but the autopsy report will only reveal the truth, sources added.
