BEIJING, Feb 16 China today dismissed charges that it was aiding insurgent groups in Indias North East, saying that it follows the policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, reports PTI.

The Chinese government always upholds the principle of non-interference in other countries internal affairs, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Weimin said in a statement sent to PTI.

The report is completely inconsistent with facts, the statement said, apparently referring to reports quoting former Home Secretary G K Pillay as saying that insurgents in Indias North East were holding meetings with Chinese intelligence officials.
