GUWAHATI, July 4 � The Kamrup Metro district administration has started checking petrol pumps in the city from today to ensure that there is no adulteration of products or fleecing of customers.
The administration has formed three teams under senior district administration officials to inspect petrol pumps across the city over the coming weeks. The teams also comprise staff of the Supply and Legal Metrology departments.
During the first day�s operation today, around half a dozen petrol pumps across Guwahati were inspected, district administration sources said.
