GUWAHATI, Aug 4 - Both the matches of the Challenger Trophy cricket tournament organised by the Assam Cricket Association among the probables of the senior team ended in draws.

Despite a draw in their respective matches, Assam Green and Assam Red managed to take first innings lead.

At the DN Singha Stadium in Goalpara, resuming at an overnight score of 117 for six in reply to Assam Blue�s first innings total of 111, Assam Red batsmen went on to post 166 before being all out in 63.2 overs. In their second innings, Assam Blue managed to put up 129 for the loss of nine wickets before declaring their innings.

At Judges� Field here, Assam Red A batsmen could only manage 113 in 37.5 overs in reply to Assam Green�s first innings total of 375 for five in their 80 overs. Following on, Assam Red A boys were 47 for one in 21 overs.

Assam Blue 1st Innings 111/10 in 39.4 overs.
