GUWAHATI, July 12 The present Central Government lacks the goodwill to facilitate establishment of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Assam, alleged the State Government.

In a statement here, the State Government refuted the claim of the State unit of the BJP that failure of the State Government to submit its proposal in time has deprived the State of an AIIMS, as baseless. The general procedure followed in such cases is that at first the proposal is included in the budget and then the State Government concerned allots the land required for the institute, claimed the State Government.
