IMPHAL, June 14 � Union Chemical and Fertiliser Minister Ananth Kumar said that the Centre is keen to establish a plastic park in Manipur.
Kumar, on a two-day visit to the State, was addressing the inaugural function of the Academic and Hostel Blocks at CIPET Centre here on Friday.
The proposed plastic park will need around 50 acres of land, he said and sought the State Government�s cooperation in aquiring the land. The Union Minister also requested the State Government to provide land measuring around five acres for expansion of the CIPET complex in Imphal.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said, �The need of the hour is to equip our youth with skills to meet the demand at national and international level.�
