Centre extends truce with DHD(N)

NEW DELHI, July 4 � The Centre on Monday formally announced extension of ceasefire with Dima Halam Daogah (DHD) Nunisa Group for a period of six months. The Suspension of Operation would continue up to December 31, official sources said.

Tripartite talks on the demands of DHD are continuing, sources said.

DHD (N), which entered into a ceasefire pact with the Centre in January 2003, is currently engaged in a political dialogue with the governments of India and Assam. The outfit is demanding creation of a separate State of Dimaraji.
