CCSU introduces new PG courses

GUWAHATI, July 26 - The Cotton College State University (CCSU) has started three new post-graduate (PG) courses this academic year in continuation of its initiatives to excel and provide new opportunities of education and research, especially in areas which are less explored in Assam and the north eastern region, said a press release issued by the Vice Chancellor of the university Dr DJ Saikia here today.

The three new PG courses are in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology; Environmental and Wildlife Sciences; and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. This will help address the aspirations of students who have been looking forward to the start of these courses.

The courses and curriculum have been designed based on the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with an aim to explore the knowledge of advanced tools and technologies used in these subjects. Students may apply online from July 28 till August 6, 2016. Further information is available in the CCSU website www.ccsu.ac.in, said the VC.
