GUWAHATI, Oct 25 � The CBSE Cluster I Basketball Tournament, organized by the Miles Bronson Residential School, Borjhar, got off to a colourful start at the school premises today.
Jagadish Barman, assistant secretary, Regional Office, CBSE, Guwahati, attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest while Olympian boxer Shiva Thapa was present as the guest of honour.
Dr Nripen Kumar Dutta, founder and Principal of the school welcomed the gathering and elaborated about the importance of games and sports in students� life.
Altogether 18 schools, 18 boys teams and nine girls teams, are participating in this championship. The finals of the league-cum-knock out tournament are slated for October 27.
