GUWAHATI, Jan 10 - The All Assam Lawyers Association has appealed to the State Government to take immediate steps for preservation of Dr Gunaram Khanikars research work so that it can help people in the future. It also asked the government to preserve the herbal garden opened by Dr Khanikar.

Dr Khanikar had extended valuable service to the people for more than four decades, through his vast herbal medicinal knowledge. His untimely demise has left a void in the field of traditional herbal medicines, said the lawyers body.
