Call to continue 108 service

GUWAHATI, March 2 - The All Assam 108 Mrityunjoy Employees� Association has appealed to the State Government not to discontinue the emergency ambulance service even as the agreement between the State Government and the Hyderabad-based GVK EMRI is slated to end in June, 2018.

�If the agreement is not renewed, nearly 1,800 educated youths will be rendered jobless,� a statement by the association said. It also urged the Government to look into the complaints related to the GVK EMRI to ensure better service to the people.
