Call for release of abducted coal trader

SHILLONG, Dec 12 - Several organisations and traditional heads of South West Khasi Hills district have demanded the unconditional release of abducted 69-year-old Khasi coal businessman.

The abducted coal trader Dinarsing Syiemlieh was abducted by suspected Garo militants from Kolagaon, in Borsora on December 3.

After the abduction there have been appeals from several quarters for his release.

A public meeting organised by Khasi Students� Union South West Khasi Hills and Lyngngam Indigenous Federation at Mawkyrwat on Thursday issued a fresh appeal for the release of the businessman.
