GUWAHATI, March 17 � In a low scoring match of the Suren Ram Phookan Maharana Centenary Cricket Tournament at the Judges� Field here today, Bud Cricket Club trounced Navarang Club by six wickets.
Electing to bat first Navarang could score only 79 losing all the wickets in just 17.3 overs. Baring Amzad Ali (32), no Navarang batsman could stand up to the the Bud bowlers. Deepak Gohain (3/6) and Debabrata Roy (2/4) destroyed the Navarang batting line-up.
Chasing the small target, Bud smashed 82 for four in 16.5 overs. Roshan Basfor (41 not out off 46 balls) made the task easy for the winning team.
