BSS asks SEBA to check exam anomalies

Update: 2010-09-15 00:00 GMT

GUWAHATI, April 6 The Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) has urged the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) to look into the anomalies detected by the BSS fact-finding committee.

In a memorandum to the SEBA Chairman, the BSS said that the fact-finding committee has shown us a picture that in comparison to Assamese-medium students, the students of Bodo medium will be deprived of getting the expected marks and we feel it an intended discrimination made by the SEBA towards Bodo-medium candidates, and because of that, we demand consideration of some marks to the Bodo-medium students.

It further said that before finalisation of the question papers, everything must be checked and compared with the questions of other languages so that the standard and weightage may be maintained properly and equally in the examinations to be held in the future.
