Update: 2010-09-15 00:00 GMT

GUWAHATI, June 3 Like in the previous years, the Boko Don Bosco School, a premier institution of Kamrup (Rural) district, has been able to maintain its good academic record by registering 100 per cent pass percentage in the HSLC examination, the results of which were declared recently, a press release said. As many as 49 students appeared in the examination this year out of whom 16 got 1st division, five securing star marks and two distinction. As many as 31 students got second division with letter marks in different subjects. Only two students passed in the third division.

The students of the Boko Don Bosco School, who are largely from educationally and economically poor backgrounds, have proved that frequent bandhs called by various organisations, load-shedding by the ASEB, bad roads and other means of communication, which are common problems along the south bank of the Brahmaputra river, and limited facilities provided to them by their parents and guardians can never be barriers to achieve good results, the release added.
