GUWAHATI, June 1 � Dipankar Saikia of Dibrugarh won the Mr Khowang title in the Khowang Classic All Assam Bodybuilding Championship held at Khowang on May 30.
The championship was organised by the Khowang Sarir Kala Kendra under the aegis of Assam Body Builders & Fitness Association recognised by Indian Body Builders Federation and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports , Govt of India.
Competitions were held in six weight categories. The group winners were-(55kg) Pabitra Konwar, (60kg) Medini Senshowa, (65kg) Ghanakanta Maran,(70kg) Dipankar Saikia, (75kg) Sujit Kr Boro, (above 75kg) Robi Meitei.
The championship was conducted by Bhabajyoti Goswami, Tridib Gogoi, Jayanta Rajkonwar, Santanu Gogoi, Mahesh Kalita.
MP Rameswar Teli was present as chief guest on the occasion, stated a release.
