AIZAWL, Oct 5 - Bodies of three of the four kids who were swept away by a flash flood here on Tuesday evening have been recovered. Search is on for the remaining one.
Three girls, Lalpekhlui, 10, Linda Lalhlimpuii, nine, Lalpekkimi, four, and one boy Danny Lalhriatpuia, 11, (Lalpekkimi�s brother) were swept away by a flash flood caused by torrential downpour in Theihai Lui, a stream that divides Armed Veng locality and the children�s locality Ramthar, around 5.20 pm on Tuesday.
A nine-year-old girl K Vanlalenkawli, who was with them when the flash flood occurred, managed to wade across the swelling stream. She ran to the residential area and sought for help.
Local volunteers immediately launched search operation and recovered the bodies of the three kids.
