GUWAHATI, Nov 2 � Irate people staged a blockade on the Hajo-Guwahati Road at Amingaon for several hours today following the recovery of the beheaded body of a kidnapped youth, Chandan Das (19).
Chandan, a part-time mechanic and a degree student of Bangsor College, had been missing since October 27. His family had lodged an FIR following a Rs 30-lakh ransom demand by his �abductors� on October 28.
The agitated people alleged police inaction and demanded immediate apprehension of the culprits behind the crime.
Police said that investigation was on, and that the person/s who had allegedly called him out on his mobile phone before kidnapping him, were being searched.
