Blast near Patna junction, train driver injured

Patna, Mar 1 (IANS): A train driver was injured today when a crude bomb exploded near the Patna junction, police said.

According to police, a crude bomb exploded near the running room of the junction at Mithapur Gumti, injuring the train driver. "The injured train driver is being treated and his condition is out of danger," an official said.

A team of the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police (GRP) have begun investigating the incident. "Security forces have intensified vigilance at Patna junction following the bomb explosion and are taking all measures to provide security to the railway station in view of the incident," a GRP official said.
