NALBARI, Oct 8 - The Pub Nalbari unit of BJP on Wednesday organised a road blockade at Ganesh Mandir on Nalbari-Dhamdhama Road protesting the deplorable condition of roads, erratic power supply, and corruption in panchayat, among others.

Hundreds of protesters holding placards shouted slogans against the failure of Congress-run State Government. A protest meeting was also held strongly criticising the inaction of local MLA Jayanta Malla Baruah. They submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi, through the local circle officer demanding immediate improvement of roads and power scenarios in the district.
