BJP leaders visit homes of leading citizens in Bajali

PATACHARKUCHI, June 21 - Following instruction from Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and BJP state president Ranjit Kumar Dass, the Bajali district unit of the party has started visiting the homes of leading citizens to discuss the performance of the government and receive constructive advice.

Phani Pathak, president of the Bajali district committee, along with several party leaders met people associated with sports, art and culture, literature and education.

The team met Dharanidhar Roy, retired principal of Haflong Government College, Ratneswar Das, retired principal of Sonapur College; Murari Mohan Dutta, former principal of Nalbari MNC; Rama Kanta Das, former principal of Jalah College; CK Talukdar, former principal in-charge of BHB College; Dhiren Talukdar, former principal of Bajali HS School; Uday Talukdar, former principal of Baghmara HS School; Sampurnanda Talukdar, former principal in-charge of Bajali College; Binanda Sil, retired principal in-charge of Patacharkuchi Vidyapith; artist Harun Ali; Amulya Dev Choudhury, retired principal of Basugaon HS School, and several others.

During the visits, the Bajali unit leaders felicitated each person with a gamosa and a set of books.
