BISWANATH CHARIALI, Feb 28 - The newly-declared administrative district of the State, namely Biswanath, will be formally made functional tomorrow by Manika Borah, Parliamentary Secretary to the Department of Transport, Government of Assam, at a function to be held at Kachari Maidan here at 3 pm. The new district will consist of Biswanath and Gohpur sub-divisions, besides Chatiya and Nagshanker mouzas of Tezpur sub-division. Sonitpur DC Loya Maduri will hand over the charge of the new district to the newly-appointed DC of Biswanath, i.e., Pallav Gopal Jha.
