Biswajit named arbiter for world meet

GUWAHATI, July 26 - Biswajit Bharadwaj, a national arbiter and director of the Gauhati Town Club Chess Foundation (GTCCF) has been appointed as an arbiter in the World Junior Chess Championship to be held at the KIIT University Bhubaneswar from August 7 to 22, stated a release issued by GTCCF.

He is the first and arbiter from the Northeast who has been ever appointed as an arbiter in an official world event. He was also appointed as an arbiter in the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2008. Currently he is working as a chess trainer in the Royal Global School, here.
