GUWAHATI, Dec 15 � The birth anniversary of the great mathematician Ramanujan will be celebrated by Abacus at Silpukhuri Maharshi Vidya Mandir here in collaboration with the Maharishi Vidya Mandir School on December 22.
Abacus founder secretary Dr Ranjana Chowdhury said that the function is organised by Abacus in collaboration with the Maharishi Vidya Mandir School to popularise mathematics among the school children. For the past several years birth anniversary of the great mathematician has been celebrated by the Abacus with this aim in view, she said. Abacus is a mathematical society for children.
Dr Chowdhury�s book -- Vedic Mathematics for Children -- which is dedicated to the children, will also be released at the function.
