BOKAKHAT, Feb 4 � In today�s match of RG Baruah U-17 Inter District Cricket Championship at Bokakhat Sports Complex ground here today, Barpeta got the better of Margherita by 67 runs.
Barpeta won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored a comfortable 167 for seven in the stipulated 40 overs where Abdul Hussain (39) and Manjil Das (23) were the notable contributors. For Margherita Pradip Deka and Manoj Mahato took tow wickets.
But a devastating spell by State player Kankan Das wrecked the Margherita innings for 100 in 33.1 overs. Kankan took five wickets giving away just 16 runs. M Sankar Roa (47) was the only Margherita batsman to stand with Barpeta bowlers.
