TURA, Oct 13 - An awareness programme on plastic menace was organised at Dainadubi in North Garo Hills recently. More than 300 people took part in the programme.
President of Multipurpose Development Manda Akawe and Nambalin Sangma of Mother�s Union urged upon NGOs and public to cooperate in maintaining a healthy environment for a better tomorrow.
A cleaning drive was held after the programme with volunteers from Dainadubi daily market committee, Chibanram Self Help Group Depa Garat and villagers, some even from Assam taking part.
