Award for OIL

DIBRUGARH, June 28 � Oil India Limited, Asia�s oldest oil exploration and production company, has been conferred with the Performance Excellence Award 2011 (Organisation) by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) at Udaipur during the inaugural function of the 16th CEOs� Conference held there recently. The award has been given to OIL for its remarkable performance in financial and operational strength during 2010-11.

The IIIE is a professional body of industrial engineers dedicated to the advancement of industrial engineering discipline and profession and to the application of scientific knowledge to assist in the effective management of all endeavours in the country. Arun Balakrishnan, ex-CMD, HPCL, conferred the award and SR Krishnan, company secretary, received the award on behalf of OIL.

OIL is the second largest national upstream oil company in India. It has been showing constant growth in crude oil and natural gas production.
