AGARTALA, Feb 17 - Assam Minister Pallav Lochan Das, who was on election campaign, was not arrested from Dhalai district�s Gandacherra subdivision, said Inspector General (IG), Law and Order KV Srijesh here on Saturday.
The Minister was caught by local people from a village of Gandacherra subdivision on Friday as there is a bar on staying of an �outsider� in a poll-bound State after completion of campaign.
As per the guidelines of ECI, the Minister was sent back to Assam on Friday night itself, said the IG, adding that he was neither detained nor arrested.
