GUWAHATI, April 29 � Former champions Assam will lock horns with fancied Manipur in the title clash of the Dr T Ao Football Tournament to be played at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai here on May 1.
In the second semifinal played last evening at Sarusajai, Assam defeated Mizoram by a clear margin of 2-0 goals. After a barren first session, Kapil Daimari (62nd minute) and Rajib Boro (87th minute) netted one goal each for the host team.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, played at the same venue before the second semifinal, Manipur outplayed Nagaland 5-1.
