ITANAGAR, Dec 30 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) on Monday underscored the need to strengthen elementary education in the state in order to have a strong academic foundation for children.
�School children must be motivated and encouraged by their teachers to study well and play regularly to keep fit.
The infrastructure in the schools must constantly be improved,� the Governor suggested during an interaction with Education Minister Taba Tedir, who called on him at Raj Bhavan here.
Various issues related to education in the state were also discussed, stated a communique from Raj Bhavan.
