Arunachal boy named for Bravery Award

ITANAGAR, Jan 20 � 14-year-old Rumoh Meto has been selected for the National Bravery Award, 2014, for rescuing his cousin caught in a live wire in Arunachal Pradesh, an official communiqu� said here today.

A standard IX student of a government school at Roing in Lower Debang Valley district, Rumoh freed his 24-year-old cousin Milu Mega caught in a 33-KV high voltage transmission live wire in November last, it said.

�The award will inspire me throughout my life to excel and work for my nation and fellow brothers,� Rumoh said.

ILP violators deported: Altogether 441 Inner Line Permit (ILP) violators have been identified and deported from seven police station areas in West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh in the past fortnight, an official release said here today.

Bhalukpong police station recorded the highest with 253 violators followed by Balemu with 150, it said. All the ILP violators were deported. � PTI
