KOHIMA, Oct 22 (PTI): The Assam Rifles today launched Students Exchange Programme (SEP) from here to Kasauli in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh to promote National integration through young school children.

Flagging off the SEP on the theme 'Best Friends Forever', Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Maj Gen MS Jaswal said it would help the young students from this part of the violence-torn state not only to enjoy the beauty of the nature beyond Nagaland, but also to have better understanding of the culture and tradition of the places they would visit.

Besides Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh, the 16 students from Don Bosco School, Little Flower School and Mount Sinai School would be visiting Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Amritsar and return home on November 12, he said.

The Major General also said that a similar number of students from Kasauli would visit Kohima in the second half of the September.
