APDCL shutdown notices for city areas

GUWAHATI, Sept 26 - The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has issued shutdown notices for some city areas, which will be effective between 5 am and 8 am of September 26, 28 and 30, to carry out construction of 33 KV line from Jayanagar Chariali to the Sixth Mile Sub-Station and pre-Puja line maintenance.

The shutdown will cover the Tripura Road areas from Sixth Mile to Jayanagar Chariali (right and left side), BK Road areas � from the Science Museum to Beltola Tiniali (right side), Rangamancha Path, August Kranti Path, Bhagaduttapur, Chandan Nagar, Survey and a part of Rukmini Nagar, Dwaraka Nagar, Upper Chachal, Aamortol, Natun Chachal, Mathura Nagar, KK Handiqui Path, Sapta Shahid Path, Kundil Nagar, Bageswari Than, Rukminigaon, GS Main Road from Sixth Mile to Down Town and Data Centre, APDCL sources said.

The APDCL kept power supply suspended for preventive maintenance of 132/33 KV Narengi Grid Sub-Station yesterday between 5 am and 8 am covering Guwahati Refinery, Bamunimaidam, Jyotinagar, Industrial Estate, both sides of the GNB Road, Assam Government Press, Silpukhuri, Gandhibasti, part of Rajgarh Road, Milanpur, among others.

The same day, it kept power supply suspended between 6 am and 11 am at Ajanta Path byelane 1, 2, 3 and 4, Survey, Wireless, Basisthapur byelane 1, 2, 3 and 4, Khanka, Sundarban Nagar, BR Path, Bhetapara Chariali, Beltola Tiniali, Kailashnagar, Kerakuchi, Sawkuchi, Ghoramara, Bhetapara, Dakhingaon, Sijubari, Khatowala Rolling Mill, among others.

The Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited kept its 31.5 MVA Transformer-III of the 220/132/33 KV Sarusajai Sub-Station in shutdown mode during the above period that day, said the APDCL sources.
