GUWAHATI, March 17 - The secretary of the Assam Olympic Association (AOA) Lakhya Konwar along with vice president Bishnuram Nunisa visited districts like Morigaon, Nagaon, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Majuli, Silchar, Hailakandi, Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Hojai and had meeting with the officials of the district sports associations.
During the meeting, the AOA discussed on the dream project of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal � Grassroot Olympics-Mission Talent Hunt � with the DSA officials.
The State Olympic officials also had discussions on development of infrastructure in all the districts so that the youngsters could be provided adequate and proper training facilities. Konwar also urged the DSA officials to put maximum efforts so that the all round development in sports can take place in the whole State.
During the visits of Karbi Anglong, Hojai and Nagaon, KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, Hojai DSA secretary Kamal Dutta, former Union Minister Rajen Gohain attended the meetings and assured the AOA officials all possible support for the development of sports.
The AOA officials are also planning to visit other districts to have discussion on future plans.
