Annual conference of SAPI held

GUWAHATI, Jan 26 - The 24th annual conference of the Society of Animal Physiologists of India (SAPI) and a national symposium on �Physiological approaches for development of climate resilient livestock farming� recently held at the College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara, Guwahati, stated a press release.

The conference was organized by Department of Animal Physiology, CVSc, AAU in collaboration with the SAPI. The inaugural session was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University, Dr KM Bujarbaruah. Dr AK Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor-cum-Director, National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, graced the function as chief guest and Dr H Rahman, Deputy Director General (Animal Sciences), ICAR, New Delhi, was present as the special guest.

More than 200 delegates from different institutes of the country and few from abroad joined the conference and presented their research papers.
