Annual conference

GOSSAIGAON, Dec 12 - The first annual conference of the Assam Senior Citizens� Association will be held at Gossaigaon on February 17 next year.

To form a reception committee for the occasion, a general meeting was held at the Senior Citizens� office here on Saturday, which was presided over by Japendra Nath Narzary. Dimbeswar Das, vice-president of the central committee attended the meeting as the central observer. The reception committee was formed with Japendra Nath Narzary as chairman, CN Brahma as vice-chairman and Ishron Narzary as the general secretary. Majendra Nath Narzary, MLA, Gossaigaon, Mritunjoy Narzary, EM, BTC, Rabiram Narzary, MLA, Kokrajhar (East), Hemendra Nath Brahma, ex-MLA and Wilburn S Daimary, SDO (Civil) Gossiagaon have been included as patrons. For the smooth conduction of the programme, various sub-committees have also been set up. The conference will be held at the Marwary Dharamshala under Ward No. 3 of Gossaigaon town, just near the Gossaigaon railway station. It may be mentioned that the Association has nearly 200 branches all over the State.
