DIPHU, Dec 10 - Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) felicitated Ankushita Boro, who won gold in the recently concluded AIBA World Youth Women Boxing Championship, here recently.
At a felicitation programme, KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, his wife Kache Tewronpi, other KAAC EMs comprising Pradip Rongpi, Tarendro Brahma, and Raju Tisso greeted Ankushita Boro.
Ronghang felicitated Anshukita Boro with Karbi traditional cloths Karbi poho, a shawl, a jacket and a pini pekok. CEM Ronghang also handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Ankushita Boro for her performance.
Speaking on the occasion, Ronghang urged the youths to play a proactive roll and work hard like Ankushita Boro in the field of sports.
