Amguri�s Pranoy behind Akshay Kumar�s benevolence!

SIVASAGAR, July 20 - Pranoy Baruah, a graduate in Computer Engineering and a resident of Ward No. 10 in Amguri town made an appeal on July 16 to a host of Bollywood stars on his Tweeter account, thereby drawing their attention to the devastating flood situation in Assam.

He reached out to Akshay Kumar also, entreating him to write on the Assam flood situation to his enormous fan following and appealed to extend their helping hand to the affected people and wildlife as they did to those marooned in Kerala last year.

Impressed by his appeal, Akshay Kumar donated Rs 1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister�s Relief Fund and another Rs 1 crore to the affected wildlife of Kaziranga National Park.

Local scribes and citizens have lauded the 27-year-old graduate�s appreciable act. Pranoy Baruah, it may be mentioned, owns �Zangphai,� a GST consultation centre in the town.
